Custody and Visitation Order Case Overview:
Grandparents, monolingual Spanish speaking, represented themselves in court on a custody and visitation order. The mother had left behind her children and now wanted them back. She, mother, now residing in Mexico, had abused the children horrifically and the grandparents wanted to care for them. At the hearing, the grandparents did not understand the questions the judge asked and agreed to allow the children to return to the mother. So, the judge ordered that the children be returned ASAP to the mother. Once the grandparents realized what happened the began looking for an attorney.
